At Primary Prep we are doing our part to save the environment.

  • Recycle everything we can
  • Reuse everything we can
  • Serve water and not juice
  • All natural "green" cleaners
  • Minimal paper towel use
  • Purchase recycled products
  • Banned Styrofoam
  • When possible, we avoid plastics with BPA
  • Turn the AC up at night and off over the weekends
  • Turn lights off when if doesn't interfer with our children's safety
  • Use ceiling fans

  • Educate parents about sending a "no waste" lunch by using reusable containers
  • Increasing our garden
  • Install solar power

What you can do at home to save you money and the planet.

  • Unplug appliances when they aren't in use
  • Wash your clothes in cold
  • Bring your own grocery bags to the store
  • Install CFL light bulbs
  • Don't purchase bottled water, get a reusable bottle and refill it (preferably with filtered water)
  • Don't use Styrofoam
  • Purchase reusable lunch containers and don't buy prepackaged products like juice boxes, plastic water bottles
  • Carpool
  • Buy produce at our local farmer's market
  • When the time comes to replace an appliance, replace it with an energy efficient appliance
  • Buy green products...they cost more in the beginning, but save everyone more in the end.
